Although Dr. V’s research “Steering the Ship: Emergency Succession Planning in the Black Church” focuses on pastoral succession planning, she has worked with Black churches to create job descriptions, develop hiring and onboarding processes for senior leader vacancies, developing growth projections, creating burn statements and other financial supplements when preparing to apply for funding, grant writing, assistance with updating bylaws and constitutions, and so much more! This consulting business was born out of Dr. Vivian’s passion for helping individuals and organizations to find tools and solutions to help them to navigate life and business. She has been doing this work long before receiving her MBA in Management, and a PhD in Business Psychology with an emphasis on consulting.
As Dr. V navigated her PhD journey she discovered that many Black churches, and most small to medium nonprofit organizations were never exposed to tools and resources to run like a business.
